McCaul Casts Vote to Protect Shiavo's Right to Life
March 21, 2005

(Washington D.C.)- In an extraordinary act, Congressional Leaders summoned Congressman Michael McCaul back to Washington, D.C. Sunday night. McCaul made his voice and vote heard as he supported a bill making sure no one violates Terri Shiavo's Constitutional Rights. The bill passed the House 208-53.

"We are judged by the way we treat the most vulnerable among us and we must not allow any American to be deprived of the right to life without due process of law. Terri Schiavo is no different. When we don't know how a person feels about receiving lifesaving treatment, our responsibility as a compassionate nation is to guarantee the person's right to life," stated Congressman Michael McCaul.

"As a father, I would want a say in how my children are cared for. It doesn't matter how old your kids are, your love for them and need to care for them never fades," stated McCaul.
