Issue Position

As your governor, I will stand up to federal bureaucrats and tell them that Idahoans can better manage our lands here at home than they can from Washington, D.C. I will not stand by while a bunch of people who don't live here, and don't know us, tell us what we can and can't do with our land. In Idaho, we are proud of our natural resource heritage and the good jobs that comes from those industries. We know that we can protect the treasures of our environment while still managing our lands in a responsible way. We can balance industry with preservation, conservation with growth. And we don't need Washington, D.C. to tell us how to do it.
