Today, Congressman Bill Cassidy voted for the Fiscal Year 2015 budget proposal introduced by Rep. Paul Ryan. Dr. Cassidy released the following statement:

"The Ryan budget proposal sets the right blueprint to tackle America's debt and strengthen Louisiana's economy.

"The Ryan budget supports more energy jobs and vital flood protection and coastal restoration projects. It replaces Obamacare with patient-centered solutions, strengthens Medicare while saving money and lowering costs for Medicare beneficiaries, and simplifies the tax code by eliminating loopholes.

"At its core, the Ryan budget believes that hard-working taxpayers make better choices for themselves and their families, than do Washington bureaucrats."
