oday, Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi voted against the destructive Ryan Republican budget and touted a report on the full extent of the devastating impacts it could have on the people of California.

The Ryan Republican Budget, which passed by a vote of 219 to 205, was unanimously opposed by House Democrats -- the fourth consecutive year Democrats have stood united against the Ryan Republican Budgets' annual efforts to empower millionaires and special interests, while ransacking the future of our nation and crippling the middle class.

"Republicans' broken priorities are the wrong path for our nation, and unworthy of the American people." Leader Pelosi said. "This budget is nothing less than a road to economic ruin that betrays California's seniors, students, workers, women and families. As this new report demonstrates, the Ryan Republican budget would have a devastating impact on California and the future of our nation."
