Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart Statement on Terri Schiavo

WASHINGTON-Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart (R-Fla.) today released the following statement regarding Congress' action to save the life of Terri Schiavo:

"Life is a precious and fleeting thing that must be protected as much as possible. I voted for this bill because I believe we must give every individual every last opportunity to have life, including Terri Schiavo. This new law does not infringe on Florida's courts. It simply allows a federal court to review this case in light of Terri's constitutional rights. Her feeding tube should not be removed until all options are exhausted."
