Cassidy Comments on Latest Obamacare Delay

Statement

Date: March 26, 2014
Location: Washington, DC

Today, Congressman Bill Cassidy criticized the most recent Obamacare delay to extend the enrollment deadline to mid-April. This is the 29th delay of a provision in Obamacare. This also follows Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius testifying in Congress that there would be no further delays in enforcing the individual mandate.

Dr. Cassidy released the following statement:

"Not only is this the latest Obamacare delay without Congressional authorization, but it comes less than two weeks after Secretary Sebelius said there would be no delay in the enrollment deadline. Louisiana families are suffering from an unworkable and unpredictable healthcare system under this Administration. No action by the President will fix this failed law. This shows again why we need to repeal and replace Obamacare with health care solutions that will work for Louisiana families."
