U.S. Congressman Marlin Stutzman issued the following statement today after the United States Supreme Court heard oral arguments on Sebelius v. Hobby Lobby, a challenge to ObamaCare's violation of First Amendment Rights.
"This is not about birth control, it's about government control. The First Amendment, the bedrock of our experiment in self-government, was meant to protect Americans from being forced to choose between practicing their faith and complying with government mandates. In a nation built on freedom and committed to religious diversity, men and women should be free to live out their convictions. Unfortunately, ObamaCare's intolerant mandate presumes that religious Americans can believe whatever they want, as long as they don't believe it at work. This is Big Government's arrogance at its worst. I'm joining with millions of Americans in hoping the Supreme Court will step in and stop this attack on the liberty that millions of Americans hold dear."
