House Passes Bill To Provide Financial Assistance For Ukraine

Today, Rep. Hakeem Jeffries released the following statement after voting in support of legislation that will provide for one billion dollars in loan guarantees to Ukraine. Rep. Jeffries is a co-sponsor of the measure that overwhelmingly passed the House of Representatives by a vote of 385 - 23:
"The financial assistance provided in this bill will support the democratic aspirations of the Ukrainian people in their quest for self-determination. Our government will continue to stand up for those who seek to create a society filled with the freedom, liberty and religious tolerance that we cherish here in America."
