Today Congressman Kevin Cramer recapped a week of major energy legislation in the House of Representatives. The House passed three bills on bipartisan votes to halt coal regulations, speed propane deliveries, and expedite construction projects.
"Today we completed energy week in the House of Representatives, and included several bills critical for North Dakota and our nation. We passed much needed relief for the ongoing propane shortage, a bipartisan bill to stop the EPA's attack on our coal industry, as well as legislation to streamline highway and pipeline construction permits. I certainly hope the President sees how serious both Republicans and Democrats are about national energy security, and the importance of keeping energy prices low for our consumers," said Cramer.
Electricity Security and Affordability Act

Home Heating Emergency Assistance Through Transportation (HHEATT) Act of 2014
Guarantees an extension of the U.S. Department of Transportation emergency declarations to speed deliveries of propane through May 31, 2014.
Responsibly and Professionally Invigorating Development (RAPID) Act
Expedites federal permitting for construction projects including pipelines and transmission lines by setting deadlines for government approval, limiting lawsuits, and consolidating the work of multiple agencies.
