Representative Steve Daines today released the following statement in response to President Barack Obama's budget proposal for Fiscal Year 2015:

"Once again, President Obama has failed to provide the American people with a serious budget that addresses the problems facing our nation and tackles our debt. Our country is facing an unprecedented debt crisis, yet the President's budget increases wasteful Washington spending by hundreds of billions of dollars, adds more than $8 trillion to our national debt and never achieves balance. The American people deserve commonsense solutions, like my Balanced Budget Accountability Act, that reduce Washington's wasteful spending, increase accountability to hardworking Montana taxpayers and balance the budget."
