Senator Collins' Statement on Feinstein's Remarks on CIA

Statement

Date: March 11, 2014
Location: Washington, DC

U.S. Senator Susan Collins, a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee, today released this statement following this morning's statement on the Senate floor by Chairman Dianne Feinstein.

"The allegations made by Chairman Feinstein that the CIA may have violated the law by accessing a computer network used by Senate Intelligence Committee staff are extremely troubling. If they are true- let me make it clear - it is never acceptable for the CIA or any other federal agency to impede or undermine an investigation undertaken by a Committee pursuant to Congress' constitutional oversight role."
