Today, Congressman Bill Cassidy thanked Senator Vitter for his response to the Louisiana House Delegation's letter urging Senators Vitter and Landrieu to oppose Rhea Suh's nomination to be Assistant Secretary for Fish, Wildlife, and Parks at the U.S. Department of Interior. See Senator Vitter's letter attached, and the read the Louisiana House Delegation's letter here.

Dr. Cassidy released the following statement:

"Rhea Suh's anti-energy record threatens Louisiana's economy and I am grateful for Senator Vitter's support in opposing her nomination. Suh has advocated against natural gas production and energy development in the Gulf, proving her priorities are not in line with the people of Louisiana. I hope Senator Landrieu will stand up for Louisiana families and not support President Obama's agenda by voting against this nomination in committee. It's not too late to do the right thing for Louisiana workers."
