Rokita: "We Must Continue to Show our Unwavering Support for Israel"

Rep. Todd Rokita released the following statement following the passage of a bill he cosponsored, the United States-Israel Strategic Partnership Act, H.R. 938.

"The United States must continue to show our unwavering support for our ally Israel. Today's legislation reaffirms our commitment to partner with the Israeli people to prevent and deter threats to their national security," said Rokita.

This bill authorizes the Department of Homeland Security to establish several cooperative research programs with Israel. These programs would be aimed at enhancing Israel's ability to detect explosives, provide emergency services, and maintain border, maritime, and aviation security.
