Issue Position

As Oklahomans we do not just want someone to shout and yell, we want someone to get the job completed the right way. I have been committed to getting things done, even in a city that fights against every conservative free market solution to every problem. Other people can sit around and complain about what is not getting done, I will just put my head down and get to work to solve the problem.

Here is just a short list of some of the things I have done in the past three years:

- Authored and passed a new rule in the U.S. House to eliminate the creation of new federal programs. There are thousands of duplicate programs still to eliminate, but the first step was to stop the creation of any more.

- Worked on the Budget Committee to cut the size of government in real dollars three years in a row. We still have a long way to go, but deficit spending is finally going down instead of up.

- Passed a law to stop the current practice at the State Department and the Department of Defense of using labor brokers and trafficking foreign labor onto our international bases and embassies.

- Argued and passed a transportation bill to limit the access of the federal government and give more local control for highway construction.

- Helped pave the way for more natural gas development by holding hearings and pushing the federal government into increased Liquefied Natural Gas permitting.

- Personally worked with the FCC to roll back the expansion of the free cell phone program that has tents and vans covering our state.

- Been a leader in the House on all of the major scandal investigations, including Operation Fast and Furious, Obamacare, IRS Tea Party abuse, Benghazi, million dollar federal conferences and the EPA.
