Issue Position

As a husband to an amazing Broward County Teacher I see the dedication that our teachers put forth for our children.

Issues: The Department of Education spends billions of dollars on programs that haven't increased the achievement in our children. The U.S. currently places 17 of 40 in education out of the developed nations. Our top down style of education "The Common Core" or "Race to the Top" will hurt our children and teachers.

Solutions: Repealing unsuccessful federal programs like the The Common Core will allow more funding to the States and local school districts. The families and communities know the needs of our children not Washington bureaucrats.

Currently our teachers pays for supplies for the children out of their own pocket, this is unacceptable. Sending the money to the local districts will also help educators provided supplies to train our children.

Education for our children is an investment for our future.
