Today, in advance of Thursday's House Foreign Affairs Committee hearing on the situation in Ukraine, Congressman Ami Bera, M.D. issued the following statement:
"The current situation in Ukraine is extremely alarming, and Russia's aggression is a clear and unacceptable violation of Ukraine's sovereignty. We must support the right of the Ukrainian people to choose their own future free of intimidation and fear. Thank you to Chairman Royce and Ranking Member Engel for their leadership on this issue and for calling for the House Foreign Affairs hearing on this matter on Thursday. It will be a crucial step to finding a peaceful solution to this crisis and I look forward to participating."
