Today, U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08) released the following statement after receiving the "True Blue" award from Family Research Council Action. The award honors Members of Congress who have exhibited extraordinary leadership and commitment to the defense of family, faith and freedom.

"I am honored to receive this award," said Rep. Richard Hudson. "As a devout Christian, I firmly believe that family is the foundation of American life, and the defense of those values is imperative for the future of our nation. I came to Washington to fight for these principles that our community holds dear. I will continue to be a tireless advocate and will work to promote life and protect our faith and freedom."
