Issue Position

We must pursue policies and budgets to put the country back on track towards economic prosperity. Year over year deficit spending has become a serious threat to future prosperity, and the current tax and spend policies have resulted in massive deficits. We are off track. Why, if the people of Florida's Seventh District must balance budgets and checkbooks, should Congress not be required to do the same? Hard decisions must be made and allowing Congress to continue as it has will only burden future generations with unbearable debt.
