Washington, DC - U.S. Congressman Pete Sessions (R-TX-32), Chairman of the House Rules Committee and a Member of House Republican leadership, today released the following statement regarding an announcement by the Department of Health and Human Services that it will implement ObamaCare cuts to Medicare Advantage:

"In order to pay for the disastrous government takeover of health care, the Administration cut $716 billion from Medicare. More than $150 billion of those cuts come from the successful Medicare Advantage program that nearly 15 million seniors nationwide -- and more than 700,000 in Texas -- rely on. Cuts to the Medicare Advantage program will lead to even fewer choices, higher out-of-pocket costs, and decreased access to quality care for many North Texas seniors. Today's news joins the long list of ObamaCare broken promises and underscores the need to fully repeal the law."
