Energy

We should be responsibly tapping into Indiana's energy resources in order to create jobs at home and make energy more affordable for all consumers. We have vast coal resources and thousands of Hoosier jobs are coal-related, but proposed federal rules from the Obama administration could prevent new coal plants from being built. Indiana is also a leading state in ethanol production, with thousands of Hoosier jobs tied to the industry. Currently, we import more energy than we export. The state legislature must act within its bounds to promote safe energy development in Indiana.
