In October 2013, the Tax Foundation named Indiana as the 10th best tax climate on its 2014 State Business Tax Climate Index. Indiana's top 10 listing for tax climates is a positive achievement, but we need to continue to ensure that policies coming out of Indianapolis promote a strong economy in Indiana. We are in a position to lure businesses and families to the Hoosier state if they know they will be able to keep more of their hard-earned money. Washington's tax policies are too high and stifle job growth nationally, but with the right tax climate here in Indiana, we can compete globally.
