Making Government Work for Us

Robin shares our expectations about state government: It must be responsive, efficient and effective for taxpayers. For Robin, any attempts to reform government must increase transparency, improve service and save tax dollars.

She will be accessible and attentive to the needs of our district. As our State Representative, Robin Shackleford will respond to every letter, reply to every email and return every phone call. She will hold regular town meetings and attend events as requested by members of our community.

Robin's plan to improve government includes:

* Transparent reporting of economic development deals that use our tax dollars
* Creating an Office of Consumer Protection to protect taxpayers
* Examining state business practice that involve out-of-state and out-of-country companies
* A "cooling off" period for state regulators before they can move into the private sector
