WASHINGTON--U.S. Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) issued the following statement after voting to restore benefits that were stripped from military retirees.

"Our men and women in uniform have given their very best to America. The very least we can do is make sure they receive their benefits, and let them know that they have our full support and gratitude for their service to our country."
