WASHINGTON, DC -- On Wednesday, February 5, 2014, U.S. Representative Sean Duffy (R-WI) met with the Administrator of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), Anne Ferro to request additional assistance for Wisconsinites during the ongoing propane crisis. Following that meeting, the FMCSA announced that it would extend all existing waivers to truck drivers assisting with the relief efforts. Rep. Duffy applauded the decision and called for continued action to assist Wisconsinites:

"During my meeting with Administrator Ferro I expressed my gratitude and also requested that the Administration pursue all means possible to provide additional relief. This includes working with states to waive weight limits for the trucks assisting with relief efforts. I was encouraged by her willingness to continue those conversations and remain hopeful that my constituents will get the relief they need and that this crisis will soon be behind us."
