Cassidy Urges Obama to Approve Keystone Following Environmental Study

Today, Congressman Bill Cassidy, M.D. commented on the State Department announcing in its environmental study that the Keystone XL pipeline would not contribute to climate change, since the amount of oil removed from Canadian oil sands would remain constant. Dr. Cassidy released the following statement:
"This study confirms what bi-partisan Members of Congress have said for several years: the Keystone pipeline will not damage our environment. The Keystone XL pipeline will create 20,000 direct jobs and hundreds of thousands of indirect jobs, while providing energy from a reliable ally. The President should approve the pipeline as quickly as possible."
