Yesterday, Congressman Bill Cassidy, M.D. sent a letter with Congressmen John Fleming, Vance McAllister and Steve Scalise urging the President to approve the Keystone pipeline. This follows 1,959 days of review without a decision on the Environmental Impact Statement and Presidential Permit application for the pipeline. Dr. Cassidy released the following statement:
"It is disappointing that the President did not mention Keystone in the State of the Union address. We have had five years of delays and lost opportunities to create jobs from Keystone. We want Louisiana workers to have the opportunity to help build the pipeline and supply America with oil from our ally, Canada. It's important for our workers and our energy future."
