U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) released the following statement responding to reports of an agreement to expand Medicaid in New Hampshire:

"I'm very encouraged by the reports of a bipartisan agreement to expand Medicaid that will ultimately help some of our most vulnerable citizens access affordable health care. I look forward to reviewing the proposal and once approved by the Governor and state legislature, I stand ready to assist the state's efforts at the federal level on behalf of the 50,000 Granite Staters who would benefit from expanded health care coverage."
