Today, Congresswoman Doris Matsui (CA-06) issued the following statement following the decision issued by the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals in the Verizon v. FCC case regarding the Federal Communications Commission's 2010 Open Internet Order:

"I am pleased that the D.C. Circuit affirmed the FCC's authority to oversee broadband services. It is critical that all Americans have access to a free and open Internet, and I urge the Commission to act accordingly. As more and more Americans rely on the Internet for information and communications, it is imperative that they have access to all available content. I look forward to working with the FCC to ensure a free and open Internet, one that promotes innovation and consumer choice in the marketplace."
