Rep. Gosar Votes to Boost Pipeline Construction and Job Creation

Statement

Today, U.S. Congressman Paul A. Gosar, D.D.S. (AZ-04) voted in favor of the Natural Gas Pipeline Permitting Reform Act (H.R.1900), bipartisan legislation that expedites the federal review process for natural gas pipeline permitting. The House of Representatives passed H.R.1900 by a vote of 252-165.

After the vote, Rep. Gosar said, "Our national economic recovery is threatened by excessive regulation, unnecessary red-tape and a bloated bureaucracy. This bill will ease permitting delays for natural gas pipelines, which will not only mitigate a potential shortage of gas-based electricity but will also create much-needed private-sector jobs. With so many families struggling to find work, we can't afford to continue to let government get in the way of job creation."
