Issue Position: Bringing Jobs Back to the Coal Country

Issue Position

Date: Jan. 1, 2014

Charlotte Lane's run for Congress is about one thing: jobs. It sounds simple, but thanks to the big government policies of the Obama administration, the solutions to bring good jobs back to West Virginia are far from easy.

Obama's political tactics are stifling to West Virginia's businesses. His constant attack on reliable energy sources -- including West Virginia's coal industry, which is the backbone of our state's economy -- threatens to send our state even deeper into a recession.

West Virginia's second congressional district has enjoyed reliable leadership in Shelley Moore Capito for several years. Charlotte Lane will continue the tradition of sticking up for West Virginians in the face of increasing pressure from the White House.

In 2014, West Virginia needs to elect representatives who will fight for West Virginia's jobs. With a longstanding track record of putting the interests of West Virginians first, Charlotte Lane is that candidate.
