Fleming on Obama Making More Changes to Obamacare

Statement

Congressman John Fleming, M.D., released the following statement after the Obama Administration announced the latest changes to Obamacare:

"Republicans warned of severe impending problems for Obamacare, but President Obama responded, "It is settled, and it is here to stay.' Clearly, he meant to say it's only settled for opponents of Obamacare, because the Obama Administration itself continues to change the law unilaterally, in whatever way best suits its own interests. This week the administration delayed sign-up and payment deadlines, and put off the individual mandate for the millions who've had their policies canceled. These changes were necessitated by the law's inherent flaws, which many of us had predicted throughout the last three years. But, instead of being honest about his signature law, President Obama stubbornly shut down the government and pushed forward with it, forcing policy cancellations and dramatically higher rates for consumers. Now the American people are paying the price, while the Obama Administration continues vainly trying to postpone the disastrous effects of Obamacare on our economy and our health care system."
