Polis Applauds $110 Million DOT Grant for Flood Damaged Road Repair

Representative Jared Polis (CO-02) today welcomed the Department of Transportation's announcement granting Colorado $110 million in emergency relief funding for the purpose of repairing highways and roads that suffered serious damage during the September 2013 floods.

"I am thrilled that the Department of Transportation has recognized the severity of the damage inflicted by the floods that struck Colorado last September," said Representative Polis. "This emergency relief grant will go a long way towards rebuilding our state's vital infrastructure and getting those impacted by the floods moving again."

Eligible repair work under the grant includes emergency repairs needed to restore essential traffic, minimize the extent of damage, or protect the remaining facilities as well as permanent repairs necessary to restore the highway or road to its pre-disaster condition.
