Representatives Diana DeGette (D-CO) and Louise M. Slaughter (D-NY), Co-Chairs of the House Pro-Choice Caucus, released the following statement on the Supreme Court's announcement to review the ACA requirement that for-profit corporations include birth control coverage in insurance available to their employees:
"An overwhelming majority of Americans agree that insurance companies should be required to cover contraceptives regardless of an employer's political or religious beliefs. Birth control is a vital part of women's healthcare, and American women shouldn't have to ask their boss, their insurance company, or politicians in Washington for permission to obtain contraceptives."
