Issa Statement on Latest ObamaCare Delay

Press Release

Date: Dec. 3, 2013
Location: Washington, DC

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa, R-Calif., today made the following statement on the Administration's announcement of a yearlong delay of online enrollment for small businesses looking to purchase health coverage through federally-run Small Business Health Option Program (SHOP) exchanges:

"The White House has issued delay after delay for parts of the law they find inconvenient but the American families and individuals who will bear the brunt of the law have received no such relief.

"President Obama needs to get over his bruised ego and join with the bipartisan coalition of House and Senate members who recognize that Americans need protection from the negative effects of ObamaCare. The President should support a suspension in the implementation of the law."
