All Americans should be afforded the opportunity to retire with dignity and respect. That is why Paul continues to be a supporter of protecting Medicare and ensuring the long-term sustainability of Social Security. Proposals to end Medicare as we know it by creating a private insurance voucher would simply be asking seniors to dig deeper into their own pockets every passing year. In addition, Paul continues to fight efforts to privatize Social Security so that hard earned retirement dollars will not be treated like a game of Russian roulette in the stock market.
