Statement

Today Rep. Todd Rokita released the following statement in response to figures released by the Department of Health and Human Services showing that 106,000 Americans (32,000 Hoosiers) signed up for ObamaCare in the first month of operation, and only 26,000 (700 Hoosiers) of those managed to sign-up through the failed federal website HealthCare.gov:

"This is not a faculty lounge exercise. Real people -- men, women and children are suffering. Today's news is just the latest evidence that ObamaCare is failing. Proponents said ObamaCare was necessary to insure the uninsured. Not only has ObamaCare failed to insure the uninsured, it has added millions of Americans to the ranks of the uninsured, the unemployed, and the underemployed," Rokita said.

"It's time for President Obama to show leadership, put ideology aside and admit he was wrong. It's time for the President to join us in at least delaying ObamaCare if not beginning its outright repeal."
