Cramer Statement on the President's Obamacare Announcement

Statement

Date: Nov. 14, 2013
Location: Washington, DC

Today Congressman Kevin Cramer released the following statement in response to President Obama's announcement on health care. The President said he would make another unilateral, one-year adjustment to the implementation of Obamacare without seeking changes to the law itself.

"Today the President offered a temporary tweak to a permanent problem he created with Obamacare. Instead of fixing his health care law, he re-stated his "keep your plan" rhetoric to the American people, this time pledging he will temporarily stop enforcing the law which makes many health insurance plans illegal. Tomorrow in the House we will vote on a bill I am cosponsoring which would write into law what President Obama said he will do through administrative fiat. If the President was serious about fixing health care, he would work with Congress on the bipartisan Keep Your Health Plan Act."
