Efficient transportation infrastructure is critical to economic growth. That is why I have long been a leader on transportation issues in the Texas delegation and have worked with my colleagues to provide a unified transportation vision for North Texas, our state, and our country.
Texas is a donor state, which means that Texans pay more into federal transportation funds than it receives back each year. This inequitable distribution diminishes resources for Texas' transportation infrastructure that are critical to the State's prosperity. In an effort to ensure that North Texas receives the funds necessary to fulfill our many transportation needs, I work with other Members of Congress to make sure Texas does not continue to lose out on federal transportation dollars which benefit DFW and Love Field airports, the Trinity River Project, and our roads and bridges.
