Cassidy Responds to Louisianans Losing Their Health Insurance

Statement

Insurance Commissioner Jim Donelon said yesterday that at least 80,000 Louisianans will lose their health insurance plans due to Obamacare and how it's being implemented. Dr. Cassidy released the following statement:

"The President and Congressional Democrats promised the American people repeatedly during the health care debate that "if you like your health plan, you can keep your health plan, period.' But now we are learning that 80,000 Louisianans will lose their health insurance plans because they don't meet the standards imposed by Washington bureaucrats under Obamacare. If the President is going to have the government take over our health care, the least he can do is be honest with the American people.

"I voted against the health care law because I believe we need less government control over our lives. I will continue fighting Obamacare and working toward real reform as long as I am in Congress."
