Pete Sessions Statement on October Jobs Report

Statement

Date: Nov. 7, 2013
Location: Washington, DC

U.S. Congressman Pete Sessions (R-TX-32), Chairman of the House Rules Committee and a Member of House Republican Leadership, today released the following statement regarding the jobs report for the month of October:

"As we continue to hear stories of individuals across the nation who are losing their health care plans or seeing their premiums rise, we must also remember the damage that ObamaCare has done to our economy and job creation. Businesses have stopped hiring employees due to uncertainty surrounding the law and have made current employees part-time workers due to the mandates and high costs in ObamaCare. Just last week, the National Federation for Independent Businesses released a study that found that 64 percent of small business owners are experiencing premium increases. House Republicans are committed to expanding opportunities for Americans and reenergizing our economy, which is why we will continue to fight against the president's health care law and push for pro-growth policies that get Americans back to work."
