Stutzman Announces Swiss Caucus Membership

U.S. Congressman Marlin Stutzman, who represents Berne, Indiana, announced his membership of the Friends of Switzerland Caucus today.

"I have the honor of serving Berne's vibrant and historic Swiss-American community and I'm proud to be a member of the Friends of Switzerland Caucus. From the mid-nineteenth century when Adams County first welcomed Swiss immigrants to today as the citizens of Berne live by hard work and Hoosier values, our community is proud of its rich heritage and lasting traditions. As a legislator and a descendent of Swiss ancestors and with relatives in Adams County, I look forward to working with my colleagues in the caucus to encourage and strengthen Swiss-American relations."

Background:

The Friends of Switzerland Caucus was founded in 2003 to further strengthen the bilateral relationship between the "Sister Republics" of Switzerland and the United States by "creating more opportunities for political dialogue between legislators of both countries."
