Labrador Reacts to Latest Developments with Iran & Pastor Abedini

Statement

Rep. Raúl Labrador (R-ID) released the following statement today after it was confirmed that Idaho pastor Saeed Abedini, a political prisoner in Iran, was moved to Rajai Shahr Prison -- an extremely dangerous prison where he faces life-threatening conditions and treatment:

"I urge President Obama to use all necessary and appropriate steps to demand Pastor Saeed Abedini's immediate release. President Obama has already played a positive role in the effort to free Pastor Saeed, and I am hopeful that he will renew his engagement at this crucial time. I will continue to work with Pastor Saeed's family for his release, and I will continue to pray for his safe return to the United States."
