Issues: Veterans

Today, U.S. Congressman Dave Joyce (OH-14) voted in favor of several bills that will help support veterans during their transition home, including one that establishes a task force to address the backlog of disability claims in the Department of Veterans Affairs. Joyce stated:

"As the son of a World War II veteran and Purple Heart recipient, I've always believed that we must do everything possible to help make our servicemembers' transition home as smooth and successful as possible. These bills will help support veterans' housing, education, and jobs needs as they return from serving abroad."

Joyce continued, "The massive VA backlog is unacceptable, and we must do everything possible to ensure these veterans are receiving the care they deserve. We have over 400,000 veterans waiting on claims, including dozens in our district. This task force is a step in the right direction to ensure our heroes are receiving the services they've earned as soon as possible."
