Daines: Thousands of Montanans Losing Health Care Coverage is More Proof of Obamacare's Broken Promises

Congressman Steve Daines today blasted President Obama's past assurance about Obamacare as a "broken promise," following news that thousands of Montanans have received notices that their health insurance plans have been discontinued under the President's health care law.

A recent news report shows that despite President Obama's promise that "if you like your health care plan, you'll be able to keep your health care plan," as many as 20,000 Montanans have received notices from insurance providers, stating that their health care plans are being discontinued as a result of Obamacare.

"For more proof that President Obama's claim is nothing more another broken promise, you need to look no further than to the stories that hundreds of Montanans have shared with me about how Obamacare is affecting their families and their businesses," Daines stated."Higher premiums, increased deductibles, broken websites and cancellation notices--it's clear that Obamacare isn't working for Montanans."

Today, Daines also launched a new section of his website to highlight how thousands of Montanans are receiving cancellation notices and suffering from higher health care costs under Obamacare.

Last week, Daines welcomed Montanans to share their stories about how the President's health care law was impacting them. Hundreds of Montanans submitted stories to Daines' website and shared how their monthly premiums were rising, how they had struggled to gain access to the Obamacare marketplace website, or how their health insurance plans had been canceled altogether.
