Today, Representative Tim Walz (D-Minn.), released the following statement after voting in favor of the bipartisan Water Resources Reform and Development Act (WRRDA). WRRDA will make key investments in America's ports & waterways while spurring job creation and economic growth. It also takes giant steps forward in the fight to eradicate invasive species, like Asian Carp, from Minnesota's waterways.

"This is how we ought to work: in a common sense, bipartisan way. When folks work together with those who disagree with them to find reasonable solutions to the problems we face, we nearly always get a good outcome. I am proud of my bipartisan work on this bill and remain hopeful that the work I and others did on this bill can be carried over to the Farm Bill."
