Congressman John Fleming, M.D., released the following statement about legislation he will introduce this week to stop the collection of personal data at the Healthcare.gov website:
"The Obamacare website has been a failure. Consumer Reports has told people to "Stay away from Healthcare.gov,' and internet security experts have raised serious questions about the site's architecture. In light of the site's highly-publicized failures, we must make certain that there is no risk to the personal and financial data of Americans who use the site. The only way to do that is to stop Healthcare.gov from collecting such data until a full and independent audit can be done on the site's security systems. That's what my legislation will do."
