Griffin Applauds Advancement of Farm Bill to Conference Committee

Congressman Tim Griffin (AR-02) issued the following statement after the House voted to advance the Federal Agriculture Reform and Risk Management (FARRM) Act (H.R. 2642) to a Conference Committee with the Senate:

"The farm bill my colleagues and I in the House passed earlier this year represents a good first step toward protecting taxpayers and providing security for Arkansas farmers and ranchers, so I'm glad this important legislation will now advance to a Conference Committee so our differences with the Senate's version can be worked out. Arkansas's agricultural community is a critical part of our state's economy, and providing it with certainty will encourage stability and growth. I also want to thank Representative Crawford for all of his work as a Member of the House Agriculture Committee on this important bill."

Congressman Rick Crawford (AR-01) is one of 17 Republican Members from the House who will serve on the Conference Committee.
