Today, Congressman Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) released the following statement praising the inclusion of the proposal authored by David Vitter in the Senate as well as Dr. Cassidy and Congressman DeSantis in the House. This provision eliminates special subsidies for Members of Congress in the Obamacare insurance exchanges through the Continuing Resolution:
"Louisiana families are not getting special breaks from Obamacare and neither should Congress. Senator Vitter, Congressman DeSantis and I have been working to end special Obamacare subsidies for politicians. It's good that House Leadership will include this provision in the Continuing Resolution. Senate Democrats must now decide whether they are going to be rubber stamp for President Obama by rejecting this proposal or whether they will stand with the American people against special breaks." -- Congressman Bill Cassidy M.D.
