Nearly 200 Constituents Join Rep. Schneider for Interactive Federal Budget Exercises

Nearly 200 constituents joined U.S. Congressman Brad Schneider (IL-10), along with the non-partisan Concord Coalition, for two interactive exercises to discuss fiscal policies and the nation's fiscal outlook.

The exercises, held at the Waukegan Public Library and Sedgebrook Retirement Community in Lincolnshire, included small working groups collaborating on ideas to reduce the nation's debt and deficits and improve the long-term fiscal outlook for the country.

"I came to Congress to help move our country on a fiscally-sustainable path forward because we cannot afford to keep kicking the can down the road," Schneider said. "Today's discussions were a great, productive way to hear directly from constituents and gain a better understanding of their priorities. "

Schneider has made hearing directly from constituents a top priority, and through initiatives like his "Brad at Your Business," he has been able to learn firsthand about the opportunities and challenges facing businesses and Tenth District families.
