House Moves to Cut Subsidies, Exemptions for Congress and White House

"Congressional Democrats and the Obama Administration baked this mess and now it's time they eat their own cooking," said U.S. Representative Cynthia Lummis. "If President Obama and Senate Democrats think Obamacare is good enough to shove down the throats of hardworking American people, it is good enough for them. And now we will see if they are so desperate to avoid Obamacare that they'll risk a government shutdown over it -- risk federal employees' pay, risk economic turmoil -- all to avoid living under what they tout as the "law of the land.'"
